INTEGER ADD RULES

Sing to the tune of "Row Your Boat"

Same signs add in line,
Different signs subtract,
Keep the sign of the LONGER number.
Now, you'll be exact!

Integers: SUBTRACT,
means add opposite
So to solve change subtract to addition
and change the integer sign that follows
Example 1: - - becomes + +
-7 - 7 becomes + 7 + 7
Example 2: - + becomes + -
-8 + 8 becomes + 8 - 8

Note: Do not change addition,
just follow the add rules

M&M Project:
(fractions & percent)

* Comparing snack packs,
are all colors equally distributed?
* What is the least likely color in a pack?
* What is the most occuring color ?

Step 1: Open your spiral and write your estimate of the total M&M pieces inside your pack.
Step 2: Open your pack to record colors and # of each.
[Then eat your candy.]
Step 3: Fill out worksheet (s).Do complete circle graph. Draw percentage of colors inside your pack.
Step 4: Post your results.
